Sending a thank you card feels good. It's one of those small things that actually matters. But when should you send one? And what should you even say?

For weddings, you get a bit more time, maybe up to three months. The point is to send it while you both still remember what happened.

What makes a thank you card good? It's simple really. Say thank you, obviously. But be specific. Mention the actual gift or what they did. Tell them how you're using it or why it meant something. Add something personal. Maybe a memory from that day or why you appreciate them.

Digital cards are pretty great for this. They get there instantly. No stamps. No waiting. You can add photos from the event. Or a quick video saying thanks. The person can save it on their phone. It's just easier.

When do you send thank you cards? Pretty much anytime someone does something nice. Wedding gifts, birthday presents, baby shower stuff. After a job interview. When someone does you a favor. When someone hosts you. Basically, whenever someone goes out of their way for you.

The more personal you make it, the better. Add a photo from that day. Record a quick video. Use their favorite colors. Little touches like that show you actually thought about it.
